Motion at the 8th Rehabilitation Conference of Québec

Motion was an exhibitor at the 8th conference in Saint Hyacinthe.

This 8th rehabilitation conference was held on October 29th and 30th at the Hotel des Seigneurs in Saint Hyacinthe and revolved around the theme of shared innovations.

This forum represents an excellent means by which network participants can stay on the cutting edge of their fields.
The rehabilitation conference is a tri-annual event organized by AERDPQ, which brings together the twenty public companies in Québec that offer specialized rehabilitation services. Over 6500 professionals work in this field and as parts of interdisciplinary teams working to help disabled people gain greater autonomy and a better lifestyle.

In the spirit of this event, Motion Composites drew a door prize for a pass for two to the Ström Nordic Spa.

Motion at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital’s Rehabilitation Marathon

Motion Composites was the proud supporter of the Rehabilitation Marathon. Numerous participants came out in support of a cause that was near and dear to their hearts.

Motion Composites was not only the official supporter of this event, but it also entered a team in the event. Motion Composites’ team took on the challenge of completing the 5km course in its Helio wheelchair!

Motion at the 'Salon Prendre sa place!'

In conjunction with the Québec Week for Disabled Peoples (Semaine québécoise des personnes handicapées, or SQPH), the Lucie-Bruneau Rehabilitation Centre inaugurated its first ever Salon Prendre sa place!

This event took place from June 1st to 4th at the Desjardins Complex and brought rehabilitation work together with the skills and abilities of disabled people. The event sought to raise awareness around the importance of reintegration of people with disabilities in personal, professional and social settings. The program of events included art activities, sport demonstrations, and round table discussions with important public profiles. In addition to this, there were over forty information kiosks set up.
The show was conducted with the assistance of Gaston L'Heureux, Chantale Petitclair, Martin Deschamps and spokesperson Jean-Marie Lapointe (to name a few).

Motion at the "DÉFI SPORTIF!"

Motion Composites is proud to be associated with the successes of Samuel and his team in their pursuit of new challenges.

With help from the Montérégien Centre for Rehabilitation, Motion Composites designed a chair fitted to Samuel. Samuel is a dynamic and enthusiastic young man who took part in the “Défi Sportif.”

Samuel provided a solid performance and placed second in his heat. Samuel trained for over a month with the guidance of his private coach in order to attain his goal. His parents and friends, as well as his coach accompanied Samuel to the “Défi Sportif”.

The “Défi Sportif” is a unique international sporting event bringing together elite disabled athletes. Over three thousand athletes, from more than a dozen countries, meet every year for five days of competition in Montréal. The “Défi Sportif” is sponsored by Hydro Québec and is organized by AlterGo. Both organizations share a common goal of facilitating access to sport for disabled individuals.
