Back in February 2017, Todd Krieg and Amanda Diesen had a viral moment when they shared their pregnancy announcement through a picture that brought a smile to everybody who saw it.

On the now famous picture, Amanda is holding the ultrasound while Todd gives the thumbs-up, grinning widely under a caption that reads “It Still Works” scribbled on the brick wall behind them.

The couple met in 2015. In 2014 Todd, a professional dirt bike racer, suffered a fall that left him paralized. Originally from Ohio, he then made the trip to California to undergo rehab after the accident. This is where he first met Amanda who was starting her career in the field of physical rehabilitation.

Somewhere along the way, the two started dating and became a couple. When Todd went back to Ohio, Amanda followed him shortly afterwards. They had been told that conceiving would likely be a long road so it was a total surprise when they learned that they were expecting. This is where they had the idea for the now famed announcement picture that unexpectedly brought them viral attention.

And the baby was not the only amazing news of the day, Todd also chose the day of the photoshoot as the opportunity to ask Amanda to be his wife, which she of course accepted without hesitation. When Todd and Amanda got married in 2018, their young son Everett was their ring bearer. They have since then have had their hands full raising him, quickly falling into their new roles as parents. Things are not always easy but the reward is well worth it. Todd told us that “being a dad has sure been, and still is, challenging at times but we adapted and we manage to be supportive of each other as a couple, this is the most important thing.”

As their journey together continues they have recently learned that Baby #2, a girl this time, is coming to join the family. Make sure to follow Todd on Instagram for his latest adventures and to check out his newly acquired APEX C!
