Verton, France – [December 1, 2025] — Motion Composites, a Quebec-based manufacturer renowned for its ultra-lightweight manual wheelchairs and positioning solutions, announces the acquisition of its French distributor DPZ Services, a key player in the distribution of mobility solutions in France. Thanks to this acquisition and its first office outside North America, Motion Composites is taking an important strategic step, while at the same time strengthening its presence and support in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Already active in France for several years through DPZ Services, Motion Composites is now integrating an experienced team with a well-established reputation. This integration continues a collaboration built on shared values, making this union a natural fit for both organizations. It will enable better support for clients, occupational therapists, and wheelchair users, while accelerating the adoption of Motion Composites’ innovative products across France.
Better Support for French Customers
“By joining our teams, we will be able to offer truly local service and better support our customers in the context of the new Title IV decree. I am proud of this evolution, which will strengthen the adoption of Motion Composites, NXT, and NEWTON products, while continuing to develop the distribution of Triride, Eppur, Loothier, and Loopwheels brands, and give us the momentum to seize new opportunities.”
— Julien Desprez, National Sales Director – France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Motion Composites
Starting December 1, 2025, DPZ Services will gradually be integrated under Motion Composites. This transition will have no impact on customers: the same teams and the same quality of service, now united under one strong identity — Motion Composites.
A Key Moment for the Industry in France
“This alignment comes at a pivotal moment for France, as full coverage of wheelchairs by the national health insurance system ushers in a new era for the sector. By joining forces, we can fully support this evolution by offering innovative mobility solutions that combine modern design and ultra-lightweight materials, while maintaining the same human approach that connects us to our French partners.”
— Éric Simoneau, CEO and Co-Founder, Motion Composites
This investment reflects Motion Composites’ commitment to the French market and paves the way for better access to high-performance wheelchairs designed to maximize functionality, independence, and comfort, ultimately improving users’ daily lives.
